Emotional Health – Positive Self Talk Lessens – Emotional Pain

Most of us have a nonstop flow of chatter going on in our heads all of the time, except when we sleep. This is all we know so we accept it as normal thinking nothing about it. This chatter would be fine except it consists of many negative thoughts about us. We believe these 100 % without any questions. These thoughts have been with us for most of our lives, even as young children or teenagers. This is our critical self-talk.

I believed at the age of 12 to be “the lowest man on the totem pole.” In other words, I felt such low self-esteem I considered everyone else in school better than me. Some reasons may have been my family was poor, my father was a drunk, I wore second hand clothes, and I believed I had less than average intelligence. This thought ran through my head or at least in the background during my days at school all the way to high school graduation.

No one ever told me I could change my critical thoughts. Only looking back now do I see the main critical thought patterns, which persisted for a majority of my life. I had no knowledge of the tools to recognize and change thoughts which I now teach teenagers in self-esteem groups.

In my mid twenties, my main passion revolved around personal emotional, mental, and spiritual growth. I have strived since then to learn more about myself and develop inner strengths and abilities. For about twenty years through a series of major relationships, I persevered recognizing my codependent behaviors and recovering. During this time, I usually focused on lack and limitation rather than opening my mind to a positive creative solution. I felt frustrated never achieving my desired goals a lot of the time and also unknown to me I tended to sink into victim consciousness, feeling powerless.

Over many decades, I learned methods of taking charge of my mind, which moved me in the direction of more positive thoughts. A few of these methods included a ten year daily practice of focused meditation, which slowed down my active mind. A few years earlier I read a classic book, “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind,” by Joseph Murphy which talked about using our subconscious to change our lives for the better. I believe this book had a positive influence. Much later I took some training – the Silva Method, which shows ways to use the creative power of our minds to manage stress and pain and to improve our lives. I also spent a good portion of my life learning and practicing energy medicine, which trained me to surrender my conscious mind and will to the Divine energy flowing through me for healing others. All my life experience and learning assisted to shift my negative thinking.

I now know the importance of first becoming aware of the negative things we say over and over to ourselves in our heads. Once we become aware of the related events, feelings, and the critical self-talk we have a choice to start to change these thoughts. We can reprogram our subconscious mind with conscious positive self-talk.

In cognitive behavioral therapy a person keeps thought records. Carolyn Ball, “Claiming Your Self-Esteem,” outlines another technique of reprogramming to recognize the event which triggers an emotional reaction. Then a person writes down all the associated critical thoughts and creates a related positive statement to use when a similar event triggers reactions and the old pattern of critical thoughts emerges again. Over time the critical thoughts weaken, which have sabotaged our conscious desires for success.

When are you going to start reprogramming your subconscious mind with positive self-talk to lessen your emotional pain?

Individual Health Insurance Companies

Individual health insurance is that health insurance coverage provided to individuals, not to a group of people. The premium for such policies is usually higher than a group health insurance policy. However, not all individuals can apply for group insurance policies, as not everyone qualifies for a group plan. The individual health insurance company caters to the insurance needs of self-employed individuals and professionals.

There are many individual health insurance companies available, both online and offline. It is up to you to decide which individual health insurance company is better for you. Get different health insurance quotes from the different health insurance companies. When applying for your quote, the health insurance company makes you answer a health questionnaire and undergo a medical examination to provide proof of your insurability. The company has the authority to decline your coverage on the basis of your personal habits, health, age, medical history, income or other factors that bear on risk acceptance. There is also a chance of the individual health insurance company issuing you a policy with limitations on coverage.

Upon comparing the different quotes of the different individual health insurance companies, you can choose the company whose rates best meet your needs. Most individual health insurance companies have different options like fee-for-service insurance, association-based health insurance, managed care plans, high-risk pools and open enrollment in managed care plans. They differ in the criteria they follow to issue policies. You then choose the best plan from the best individual health insurance company, according to your needs, health position and budget.

Mental Health Days

Contemporary life is littered with interruption, frustration and both simple and complicated bother. Yet, the stimulus has always been there. Though convenience is closer at hand, today’s world has ironically brought us ever-proximal to stress, anxiety and overload.

How do we reconcile and conquer the noise that threatens to drown out what could be an otherwise peaceful life?

Balance is nine parts choice of wisdom and one part God’s graceful provision – for some are just under the pump right now, despite their need of relief and choice for it without opportunity.

Let’s deal with choice.

Choose to Covet Less

It’s a drive for more that sees us with less time. The too-much-is-never-enough philosophy of life is short-sighted and ignorant of obvious warning. Still, if it’s a choice how busy a life we lead, it’s a choice to see (or not see) the warnings to burnout. Many choose ignorance to their eventual peril.

Some are bent on their responsibilities and there are a few that must endure the time. Most of us aren’t in this position, however. Those assertive of their need of renewal can find a way to it, but it will involve less of what we typically desire.

Sacrifice is the price of balance.

Features of Mental Health Days

Besides the fact that every day (as far as possible) should be adopted as a mental-health-positive-day, there should be regular excursions from the busy life into the sanctuary of aloneness with God.

This is the practice of doing something personally reviving and inspiring.

This is not about going to the gym for a workout (though it could involve that) or gardening (without precluding it). It’s not ticking off the ‘to do list’ because that’s work, again, hurrying at our spirits. The aim is to have done our work, so rest is ably enjoyed and no thought of work consumes us. It’s even better to rest before work.

Plans for the best of life should factor in a day off per week – however creatively packaged it is – the principle of Sabbath. It is not ‘fat’ in our schedules to squeeze more out of. It’s to be kept sacred.

Activating Mental Health Days – Avoiding the Pandemic of This Age

Many seem hapless in avoiding a common outcome of life – ill-health as a cost of surrendering to life’s convenience and want-of-acquisition. One’s borne from laziness, the other from greed.

Activating mental health days assists prevention of the modern pandemic strangling Westernised societies around the world.

Let’s remember the nature of today’s dual-temptation: convenience and acquisition – they’ll be the wrecking of us without a fight back for discipline and balance. Wisdom is the king of these; creating discipline and redeeming balance.

Taking Care of Our Health – The Natural Way

Health is the most valuable asset for all of us, and it is a must that we must protect our health in order for us to have a better way of living.

Health is like something that we take for granted, realizing its importance when we are in great sickness or someone we knew is suffering from illness. Nevertheless, if we will not take care of our health as our as now, then the backlash of our health will be very alarming. Once we have taken for granted the effects of our carelessness towards health, no matter how we tried to do something about it, it may be too late and worse, we cannot treat a certain disease because it is already permanent.

This is the time that we must take a step further to care for our health. Health is the most essential part our lives and it helped us to become who we want to become.

The question is who will take care of our health? Who will control all the dealings with regards to our health? Moreover, the answer is of course, every one of us. We must be responsible on our respective health status because our health is the ultimate and most valuable asset. We must looked for our health positively and deal with it to prolong the quality of our lives.

There are some ways for us to evaluate the level of our health, for us to know if we are living a healthy life or we have to modify our lifestyle.

One method is to have health check-ups on a regular basis. Having check-ups will determine what the status of our health is. Also, it can provide us information on what are we going to do to enhance our health if doctors detected something unusual on our health.

Moreover, have a healthy diet. Even though some of us need to lose weight, eating and having healthy diet will ensure the quality of our health.

Furthermore, have a regular exercise. 25 minutes every day can help boost our body. We can do this at least 5 times per week. Not only that, we tend to be more energetic and it will keep us going beyond our typical activities.

However, if a person smokes and he will do these things, it will be such a waste of time. Smoki9ng will only worsen our health and following these guidelines will be nonsense. If some of us are smoking, stop smoking gradually because we cannot do it drastically.

If we can follow these guidelines, the levels of our health can meet its maximum potential that can help us to become a better and happier person. Love health, as we love ourselves.
